True or false? Your immune system is the defense mechanism against infections. Immunity according to ayurveda is more than that. Charak Samhita, an ancient ayurvedic text, defines immunity as the strength to prevent disease manifestation and recurrence, resist disease progress and restrain severity.
I sat down with dr. Vivek Shanbhag, MD in ayurveda, licensed naturopathic doctor, ayurvedic medical expert, professor and best selling author for over 30 years, to dive into the topic of immunity with ayurveda.
Watch this 8-minute video to learn more. We cover the definition of immunity and how it’s different from allopathic medicine. Then, dr. Shanbhag highlights a few things you can do naturally for your wellness.
So, what do you think? We hope you picked up some new tools.
